EVLT Therapy

EVLT (Endovenous Laser Therapy) also known as EVLA, RFA, VNUS and ELA is an ultrasound-guided procedure that uses a laser fibre to seal damaged veins which then disintegrate and absorb into the body as part of the normal healing process. This results in the external appearance of varicose veins disappearing. On average the treatment takes less than an hour under local anaesthetic.

EVLT is fast becoming a gold standard treatment for varicose veins”
The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).

EVLT is a minimally invasive procedure that is highly effective, leaves no scars and allows you to return home the same day as the process only requires local anaesthetic. Patients are usually advised to return to their everyday routine immediately, however strenuous activity should be avoided for one to two days.

Compression Socks

After EVLT therapy it is advised patients use compression socks to aid their recovery. You can view our range of products here or contact our team of specialists for a consultation.
