Graduated compression technology works best when you get the fit as accurate as possible. It's not enough to know your shoe size, to get the most benefit from gctech compression socks it's essential to take additional leg measurements.
That's why we're very careful to make sure that you get exactly the right fit for your size and shape, and we have a very specific method for you to provide us with measurements. To make sure you get just the right size sock for you, you'll need to measure the distance from heel to knee, the circumference of your calf and the circumference of your ankle.
A tape measure is best for taking measurements, but if you haven't got one, you can use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler. It's best to take these measurements in the morning, before your legs have started to swell during their trudge through the day.
Take your shoes off, and follow our diagram to help you get just the right measurements.
1. Lower leg
This stretches from the base of the heel to the pit of the knee.
2. Calf circumference
Measure the largest part of your calf – this may not be exactly in the middle, move the tape measure around until you find the widest point. Remember to keep the tape measure as straight as possible!
3. Ankle circumference
Measure immediately above the ankle bone – if you suffer from ankle swelling, try to do this when your ankle is least swollen.
